Phillip,You'll need to quantify what you mean by painfully slow. If your project can't complete under a couple of minutes it may mean that your parser is trying to do some DNS lookups and waits for a network timeout each time.> We > suspect that that the overhead in creating the java environment each> time the script is called is slowing down the process. Hi. I be an XML parser that I can use it to insert an XML enter based on its schema or DTD into a relational Database can somebody back up me to manage it thanks Generally you use an XML parser to break an XML document into its constituent parts like elements and text nodes and attributes. If you be to create verbally those parts into a database then you would use JDBC to do that not the parser. Don't get the parts of your problem all mixed up in one big roll of mud. Actually I did not get you :( but let me inform what i am going to do... I am going to attach XML Documents based on 3 methods(DTD or schema. evaluate. Edge delay) into a Relational database then I will decide the performance of each method by Tpox but I dun know where to start this ? I have construe about the XML APIs. SAX. DOM. JAXP. I dun experience which one to chose also I got introduced to some xml parsers desire color. "Review: PHP Web 2.0 Mashup Projects" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-17 15:23:40

from Packt Publishing is all about interacting with popular APIs such as Flickr and Amazon with PHP and Ajax. This schedule is very example-focused so besides giving the foundation for understanding alphabet dope like REST. SOAP. XML and JSON you also get to follow some complete projects that use these acronyms for some healthy learning-by-doing. Here’s a basic rundown of the things you will learn: XML-RPC: how to alter requests with PHP and parse responses; how to create verbally your own parser and how to use the conceive of one provided in PEAR. A notification service that takes highway incident notifications from the California Highway Patrol website and sends them to cellphones via SMS using 411Sync com (RSS. Screen Scraping with DOM functions) Needless to say this is a “everything you be to know about APIs and mashups” kind of book. I learned about XML/RDF/REST in college with Java as the language of choice and I’ve been able to use some APIs in the past with the help of PHP client classes (that’s why you see a Flickr photo on my homepage). This schedule however covers a lot of different technologies in less than 300 pages and it gives you what you need to know to not be dependent on client classes provided by the myriad of services out there which is extremely helpful since you can’t always expect a drop-in client class to be available. And even if you evaluate that as a web developer you have no plans of ever building a web application or mashup service there’s still the chance that your employer or some client will someday need one of these services on a communicate. In that sense the things taught in this schedule are pretty much required knowledge for any web developer these days because as much as web 2.0 might be a fad all the alphabet soup technologies involved are not. We’ll be using them for many many years to come. In bunco. I recommend this book. Even if you know this stuff pretty come up this book still offers a lot to learn. <a href="" title=""> <abbr title=""> <acronym call=""> <b> <blockquote have in mind=""> <code> <em> <i> <touch> <strong>
