Load Runner only copies the files that it knows about. dat java class files and not much else. I tried loading my ini as a parameter file and it was copied out to the agents but it failed miserably when it tried to scan the file when the agents started. Is there a way to get LR to copy the file out to the agents?I'd like to avoid using a shared mapped drive because of the hassles associated with our corporate network and SOX policies. TIA
Found an acceptable solution. I added code to fetch the file from the controller via ftp. Any and all agents will pull the file after getting the Java code.
Crabboy, there is a standard solution for your issue. Click "Details" icon/button for a scenario group from Controller. As a result - "Group Information" dialog will be opened. Then click "More" btn select "Files" tab. Here you can add your ini-file. All files from the list will be sent to remote load generator. I hope. I could explain my solution...
If I couldn't please see "Understanding the Group Information Dialog Box" page from LoadRunner's Help.--------------------Dmitry Motevich

So. I have been putting it off a lot and I decided to do something about it. This whole blog is supposed to in one part describe the steps and develop of my project and write some things about my progress with MySQL (and other databases). I actually did intend to use stored procedures very much when doing my project so the 2 areas are very much connected to one another. Main IdeaI wanted to make a web-based text game called Shadow People. follow people ordain be a bet to do with government agencies and spy organizations. There ordain be two different groups of agencies: Government owned/regulated ones and Terrorists/Freelance ones. If it helps you imagining how it ordain look like if anyone saw the series “"La Femme Nikita" with the actress Peta Wilson. The bet revolves go the alter and secret world of small yet highly effective organizations that either try to keep request in the world or cause chaos. These organizations have the highest skilled personal beat equipment possible and will forbid at nothing till they get what they came for. Feature ListGoing with the idea of here is the features list or what you will be able to do in the game.
How I will do itI don't experience if this is an entirely smart decision but I want to create the website using database stored procedures. Even to the level of managing the html code inside the database. I guess that this will be a bit long winded but I am determined to at least try. If anything I will benefit from the experience. The advantage of doing it this way is that I am assisted by principles which basically means that I am forced to keep the html code in the database and then hive away along side the data to create results. Once I keep the html code in the database it must be in form that is easy to store. If I ordain need to alter changes to it in the future it should be easy to sight because it was stored properly. Unlike PHP which on the one hand is very simple to create but I have run into situations when I had to change something and then cognise I needed to manually change many PHP pages. This is similar to something I saw on Oracle called where they used their WebCache along align their Java Stored Procedures. The Java creates the pages and the WebCache saves the pages after they are processed. If there is a change to the pages the Java informs the WebCache to remove the specific summon and updates it.
So theoretically you have pre-processed already-saved in memory and instantly available pages. But theory is a nice.

The log files looked normal with visits up so I wrote it off a paranoia. But by Monday I knew something was up. The bandwidth for the day was five times that of Sunday with only a 10% increase in other visitors and page views.
A heavy analyse of log files showed lots of traffic with variations of the following User-Agents: “Java/1.6.0_03″,”Java/1.6.0_02″,”Java/1.5.0_06″,”Java/1.5.0_02″,”Java/1.5.0_07″. And about 30 other variations of these.
Searching through forums and blogs turned up nothing but information on spam harvesters but all of the hits I was seeing were for the same small set of images and coming from an unbelievable amount of IP addresses all of them hitting on a slow but regular basis.
I tried to find a pattern to these IPs but they were global and non that I tested were another webserver leading me to accept a large assort of zombie PC’s are loaded with DDOS software and a controller somewhere had sent them a list of images to transfer. None of the IPs showed up as ever visiting anywhere else on the place only the small set of images.
So then I began to look for a way to stop them. Because the IP’s were to varied to firewall that was not an option. While the user agent was varied it was quite possible to block them with 2 additional lines to my write rules
Another option would undergo been using the SetEnvIfNoCase User-Agent ^$ bad_bot way but the Rewrite way worked.
Now about 8 hours later the hit count continues at about the same rate but they are just receiving a 403 Forbidden instead of a 100k image on each request.
[…] On Monday November 5th I realized we were undergoing a Denial of Service attack aimed at draining bandwidth. I accept it started rather weak in October but I began to notice the Kilobytes of traffic had grown far higher then it should based on other merchandise statistics. See: Day 1 Analyzing and adjusting on day two: Day Two […]
Matt et al: Great job. Matt ! Been expecting something like this ever since we began to beheavily “invaded” by some whose Comments indicated very deepand disturbing animus vs open dialog to which they couldfind no presentable responses.
At a customer site today they were opening new Lenovo T60 laptops and what's included in the pack? An order form for Lotus SmartSuite Millenium Edition and Lotus Notes. And not just Lotus Notes but Lotus Notes R5!! It's amazing value - you both get...
I'm currently on a Lotus Connections communicate and needed a LDAP browser to test authentication and searching. Previously I have been using a Java LDAP browser with a UI that really was lacking. Today I discovered Apache Directory Studio which is built on...
In walk of 2006 I wrote a lengthy affix (see below for links) on how I considered the lack of Java adoption by Notes/Domino developers the Achilles' heel of IBM. The affix was picked up by Ed Brill and made quite a stir in the blogosphere. Sitting...
"Jo Grant from our ISV enablement team has produced a compile with 22 reusable components." While it's a great initiative the documentation is missing. I'm planning to look into the components and publish my findings on the communicate as I make any...
"Error compacting database path: (answer cannot be performed while database is being compacted)"
I was looking through idea jam the other day and saw an idea in the Sametime category and a comment to the idea from Carl Tyler. The idea was to provide an easier way to let users upload their own picture to the Sametime directory (see alter it easy to...
Well I agree with most of your observations though I comfort think it's great the movie is coming. I think the rationale for going straight to DVD was to make sure there were enough resources to do all three films. But as you said - it's going to be...
I know this is a relatively old affix but I am WAY behind on my reading lately. Anyway.... I dislike to be a downer here but I am anything but excited about this. Don't get me do by; the DL novels are among my absolute favorite novels. Better than LotR...
No I think I was using some home grown LDAP browser which hadn't been maintained since 2001 or something desire that. I think it was in AWT or early SWING. As to the link it has been fixes - thanks for pointing it out to me. FCKEditor - I would desire to...
bring together of things: 1 not sure if JXplorer is your prev tool. I am currently using it free as well and it's doing its thing. 2 your link in above article from "Today I discovered Apache Directory Studio which" is broken contains...
Well the is a generic move and a part specific to Notes and one to Domino. The generic part is that Java is a language which is used beyond Notes/Domino which means that there is an abundance of training options books and developers. Also since the...
Very nice! I ordain definitely have to transfer it and take a look. I've also been using some small java gui app that was very lacking.. perhaps even the same one :P I've been using LDAP more and more to sync login systems from external apps and ask...
I've been trying to hit the books/use Java in Notes for a while now and a couple of thoughts undergo been getting clearer. I create for the Notes client and so far I have not seen any favor to using Java over Lotus compose. All examples I've seen regarding...
I have been running Notes 8 Standard under Windows Vista (with full Aero UI) for a little under a week now. Besides having to get used to the Vista UI and look'n'feel I'm having issues with one dialog that keeps popping up. I have inserted a screenshot of the dialog below. It seems desire it occurs when running Java agents in Domino Designer or when doing meeting invites although it isn't consistent. Unfortunately it doesn't switch back to Aero on its own as it says...
I experienced the same issue while working in the press but I can't bequeath the challenge. I thought I excepted a meeting invitation and only had it once. (but Vista is only on my domiciliate PC so most of my tasks are limited to checking mail)
I undergo seen this too using Notes 7.0.2 on Vista. I do not bequeath what I was doing when it appeared but I was not debugging java agents. Perhaps this technote on Lotus Notes Vista compatibility can give some help:http://www-1 ibm com/give/docview wss?uid=swg21252343<call type="text/css"></call>
