How desire of an exposure? Er. Bundy64 you need go reduction at higher ISOs. 1/100'th sec at iso 100 doesn't need it. Nor does 1/400 at 400 if you go that rout depending on your hardware. NR is useful at 800+ for the d80. I think. Yes that is true drackar. Maybe I'm not understanding NR correctly. I was under the impression that NR was to be used during long exposures regardless of the ISO. So if you did a 10 minute exposure even at ISO 100 you should use Noise Reduction. That was my understanding but perhaps I'd better have in mind to the manual again. I've been doing so much reading lately. I'm starting to confuse myself. LOL I tried the F-11 thing seemed to bring home the bacon pretty well. Distressing thing is clarity cannot be attained it seems. I am thinking of a telescope adapter possibly. I have a few good moon shots in my pics also does anyone use a polarizer for moon shots? @steve3402000I had the same problems ,hundreds of shots using everybody's discuss and my own commonsense ,not happy with my pictures. I have ordered a T ring for the D80 (change my Pentax one) ,and slip it onto the back of my Meade telescope. I got good Astrophotography pictures with the old istDS2 (sold). "eClips August Service Review" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-10 16:11:21

The eClips function continues to change at a staggering rate. With Q3 07 only two thirds complete the merchandise growth when compared to Q3 in 2006 is an astonishing five times higher than just a year ago. This growth can be attributed to more PCAs more organisations and more users being added to the eClips function every month. Also an increase in the content available through eClips has been driving greater usage of the function. In July. Durrants was added to the enumerate of eClips subscribers and August has seen Cision. IPCB and Vocus go be with the function. This is fantastic news for the industry and for the publishers as more clients act to digital delivery of their touch cuttings. The increase in PCAs using eClips has meant that in July and August. 361 new organisations and 4,303 new users were added to the eClips database. Including these additions there are now 4,270 organisations and 28,806 users registered to use eClips. With the growth of the eClips function there undergo been many challenges that the NLA digital aggroup have faced. As more users and PCAs utilise the function the aim of quality has been scrutinised even advance. Clippings quality increased slightly from July to August but it was still open that 2.78% of articles within the service do not meet the quality expectations. Work has been undertaken to improve the quality and a recent upgrade to some of the NLA production software has eliminated one of the largest contributors to poor quality clippings; thumbnail issues. With this fix and others. I am hopeful that in September we ordain finally see the clippings quality KPI met (98%). As the NLA works to alter circumscribe quality we have also recently implemented a process for PCAs to request sub-standard articles to be reprocessed. It has taken a couple of months to establish a solid affect and the benefits are now being realised. In July a total of 924 articles were requested to be reprocessed. In August this be dropped to 476. This decline can be attributed to improved clippings quality as well as an agreement between the NLA and PCAs regarding what content is included within the eClips service. A very successful meeting was held in August where members from many of the eClips PCAs and the NLA production cater discussed potential changes to eClips content guidelines. More meetings are planned for the coming months and I hope that the result will be more satisfied customers as come up as an increase in respect for the work that the NLA undertakes. The NLA aggroup continues to meet clients needs by resolving important issues. In July a new eClips examine engine was deployed for users of the find Model service. This search engine is vastly improved in terms of relevance speed and ease of use. If you are interested in adding this functionality to your eClips XML service gratify contact. In August the NLA resolved a very important air for many of the PCAs. All Financial Times circumscribe is now viewed through eClips without a 'pink' accent. Many clients complained that the background act upon affected the quality of printed and faxed eClips articles from the FT. Also we have added the ability to view a 7 day rolling history of content that is missing from the eClips function. To believe these details click. Although these issues took quite some time to finally end. I wish that users of eClips are now happier with the service as a prove of these improvements. With regard to performance the eClips service continued to cater and beat KPIs during the month of August. All content delivery targets and service performance metrics were met. In fact most delivery statistics outperformed the targets significantly. For example weekday circumscribe was loaded into the eClips system at a rate of 30% by 10PM and nearly 60% by midnight. It is also now possible for eClips XML function subscribers to acquire circumscribe earlier in the evening. Once again if you are interested in receiving this additional service gratify contact.

Can I get help with settings for some Astrophotography. I ordain be shooting the Moons Eclips tomorrow evening in Australia Tonight is a alter night and I am going to practice some shots of the near New idle. Can I get some advice on the best setting. Im using the 70-300 VR on a tripod with remote cable close control. Advice needed gratify ! Thanks. I had some fair pictures on Auto and some nice shots using kktp`s settings but not so alter. I need a filter to cut the glare. I have a Meade crush that I used with my old Pentax istDS it took some good pictures of the moonI dont undergo a Nikkon adaptor yet. I also have a Philips Tu-Cam set up on the Meade ETX125AT telescope + laptop but havnt spent much measure with it ,,,,,to cold. Thanks for your help and direction. Originally posted 4 weeks ago. Edited: just now read mike irwin's post on the idle command -- I could have saved myself all the experimenting if I'd come here first! :) That was the winning combination and fits the command too. Very cool & ordain act in object to compete around with the different ISO combos next measure. Originally posted 4 weeks ago. ( ) Ѕhadowdancer edited this topic 4 weeks ago. Sadly I don't have a very desire lens but I'm working tonight and brought my equipment with me so I'll try and get out and take a shot or two just to see what I get. I'm not expecting much though. Note to self: start saving money to buy a desire lens. Im going to give it my best shot tonight with the Eclips starting at EST 18:51 --22:24alter skies needed for a few hours then we be some drought breaking come down. Nice pic Shadowdancer Thanks all Do we be to have NR on or is it pointless in this inspect if we aren't using too desire of an exposure?Maybe that should be the question.. at what point is it a good idea to move on the Noise Reduction? How desire of an exposure? Er. Bundy64 you be noise reduction at higher ISOs. 1/100'th sec at iso 100 doesn't be it. Nor does 1/400 at 400 if you go that defeat depending on your hardware. NR is useful at 800+ for the d80. I think. Yes that is true drackar. Maybe I'm not understanding NR correctly. I was under the impression that NR was to be used during long exposures regardless of the ISO. So if you did a 10 minute exposure even at ISO 100 you should use go Reduction. That was my understanding but perhaps I'd exceed have in mind to the manual again. I've been doing so much reading lately. I'm starting to misidentify myself. LOL I tried the F-11 thing seemed to work pretty come up. Distressing thing is clarity cannot be attained it seems. I am thinking of a telescope adapter possibly. I have a few good moon shots in my pics also does anyone use a polarizer for moon shots? @steve3402000I had the same problems ,hundreds of shots using everybody's advise and my own commonsense ,not happy with my pictures. I undergo ordered a T ring for the D80 (change my Pentax one) ,and slip it onto the approve of my Meade telescope. I got good Astrophotography pictures with the old istDS2 (sold). I can then use different types of separate's to decrease glare and carry out detail.
